About Michelle Lestas

I am a business leader and serial entrepreneur. I grew up in a family business, and this, coupled with the fact that I have been a business owner for many years, means entrepreneurship and business leadership are part of my DNA. An experienced public speaker, I am also a member of the NIABT – the policy influencing forum for the NI Assembly at Stormont. My business leadership book will be published November 2020 https://orpenpress.com/books/in-business-with-yourself/ and is the result of 20 years as a business leadership executive coach, working with CEOs in large organisations and small business. I am the founder of identity-led business growth and use this throughout my work. I have worked across all disciplines in the UK, Ireland and Europe. I have specialised in leadership, ownership, innovation, strategy, funding and investment – including significant work on accessing grant funding and tender bids. In the past 5 years I have spearheaded the development of two significant brands. Glenstall Enterprise Hub – a business hub for business space, training facilities and a state of the art production kitchen. As the co-founder of the Good Food and Wine Company brand I have been successfully growing this into an important food production and retail business with product sales across the globe. I am qualified as an assessor for psychometric testing and I am also leading on some key research with the Ulster Business School into artisan entrepreneurship. Over the years I have been a Board Member on numerous Boards across Enterprise Agencies, FE Colleges and Post Primary Education. I have also gathered a few qualifications on the way – Bsc (Hons); MBA; AHEA.
